1. Who we are
Arvento is a software tool built for independent court interpreters in Pennsylvania. It helps you generate invoices and official court log sheets, calculate mileage, and keep your billing organized.
You can reach us at hello@arvento.io with any questions about this policy.
2. What information we collect
When you create an account and use Arvento, we collect:
• Account information: your full name, email address, vendor ID (your court interpreter ID), and home address. Your address is used solely to calculate mileage between your home and the courthouses you work at.
• Invoice data: dates, courthouses, hours worked, mileage, parking and toll expenses, and pay rates — all information you enter to generate your invoices.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as login activity, needed to keep the service running.
We do not collect payment card details directly — payments are handled by Stripe (see Section 4).
3. How we use your information
We use your information only to:
• Generate your invoices and official court log sheets.
• Calculate mileage between your starting point and courthouse using Google Maps.
• Display your invoice history and reports.
• Send you transactional emails (e.g., invoice copies you request).
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-party services
Arvento uses the following third-party services to operate:
• Google Maps — to calculate driving distances for mileage reimbursement. Your home address is sent to Google only to perform this calculation.
• Stripe — to process payments (e.g., pay-per-download fees or subscription charges). Stripe handles all payment card data directly; Arvento does not store your card information.
• Base44 — the infrastructure platform that hosts Arvento's database and backend. Your data is stored on Base44's servers. Base44 is bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
5. Data minimization
Arvento is designed with data minimization in mind: we try to store the least amount of sensitive information necessary to provide the service.
In particular, Arvento does not require you to enter defendant names, case names, or other sensitive case details to generate your invoices. Fields like "defendant name" and "docket number" are available for your own reference when filling out official forms, but Arvento does not use or share that information beyond displaying it back to you.
We believe court interpreters handle sensitive matters and deserve tools that respect that.
6. Data security
Your data is private to you. Each user can only access their own invoices and information. Administrators of Arvento may access data for support and operational purposes, but access is restricted and logged.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit.
No system is 100% secure. If you believe there has been a security incident, please contact us at hello@arvento.io immediately.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
• Access a copy of the data Arvento holds about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@arvento.io with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Data retention
We retain your account and invoice data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after account closure to comply with any applicable obligations.
Under the pay-as-you-go plan, invoices older than 90 days may be automatically deleted as part of that plan's terms. Pro plan users retain full invoice history.
9. Children
Arvento is a professional tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Arvento after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
